More than 1,000 women are expected to attend the Chosen Women’s Conference in Charleston January 19-20, 2012. If you’re not already on the list, consider this your personal invitation to register and attend. The cost is $60 for adults, $25 for students ages 12-17.
The two-day conference hosted by Seacoast Church, Mt. Pleasant, offers an opportunity to hear nationally known speakers, spend time with amazing women, appreciate and apply the conference message, and meet the conference sponsors – including representatives from South Carolina Federal Credit Union. Doors open Thursday evening at 4:30 and the first session begins at 7 pm. The schedule includes a Friday morning session – with free childcare for those who sign up for that in advance – mid-day breakouts, and a Friday evening session.
Conference speakers include
- Greg Surratt, senior pastor at Seacoast Church, and author of Ir-Rev-Rend.
- Lisa Bevere, international speaker, co-host of The Messenger television program, which broadcasts in more than 200 countries, and best-selling author of numerous books, including Lioness Arising: Wake Up and Change Your World.
- Jo Saxton, director of 3DM, a movement/organization helping churches develop a discipling and missional way of being the church. She is also the author of Real God, Real Life, exploring authentic spirituality in today’s world (released in 2010) and Influential (2011) exploring the subject of women in leadership.
- Helen Lee, the author of The Missional Mom. She served as co-editor and contributor of Growing Healthy Asian-American Churches (IVP, 2006) and has written numerous articles for publications such as Christianity Today, Leadership Journal, and Today’s Christian Woman, twice earning Higher Goals awards in reporting from the Evangelical Press Association
You might wonder why reps from South Carolina Federal plan to be at Chosen 2012. With over 1,000 women anticipated, there will be a lot of moms there, and we know moms are hugely influential when it comes to both household finances and their kids’ financial decisions. We hope to see some of our members there!
