We decided to end the year with our blog superlatives. Our winners were selected by our social media team after a very lengthy nomination process. Each day this week, we’ll share one of our superlative winners. Please feel free to share your comments below as we’d like to hear if we voted for your choice!
Our first superlative winner goes to Kevin Kosco for his blog “Turbo Tax vs. the guy dressed as the Statue of Liberty flagging down cars.” We’re pleased to present Kevin with the Best Sales Pitch award! Read on…
What’s that ticking sound? It’s the clock telling you the IRS filing deadline is getting closer. Now that we are officially into April, for many the tax deadline means it’s finally time to spring into action.
Last week I was talking with a couple team members here at the credit union and they were sharing how easy it was to use TurboTax…via their Online Banking account. Since I’m one of the many who has not started his taxes, my curiosity was piqued. I’ve used tax preparers and TurboTax purchased from the store. Contact Center Rep Tami enthusiastically suggested TurboTax for Online Banking:
“Before visiting one of those tax preparers promoted by a guy wearing a Statue of Liberty costume, think about giving TurboTax a try. The system walked me thru the process by asking simple questions to figure out what paperwork I would need to gather. Upon completion, the review process made me confident that I had finished everything completely even though I am NOT a professional tax preparer!” Tami went on to say “I used the electronic filing and had my refund direct deposited into my South Carolina Federal Credit Union account. My deposit credited within a few days of when TurboTax said it would arrive. ”
Credit Union employee Rogenia said “I’m a certified tax preparer and donate my time to help low-income families prepare their taxes through Trident United Way. Even though I could do my taxes for free via the United Way I prefer to use TurboTax because it is so convenient and easy to use.” Rogenia noted that TurboTax saves all her information from year to year.
As I was preparing this blog post a couple other credit union employees heard about the subject and shared their stories of how easy it was to use TurboTax. If you have a story to share, please do. If you’re still thinking about it, why not let TurboTax (via your credit union online banking account, of course) provide you with a Life Simplified moment!
