It runs in the family…

Last year for my Veterans Day post, I wrote about Brave Little Soldiers. I enjoyed writing that post!

Veterans Day is close to my heart. My grandfather (father’s father) was in the U.S Army and fought in WWII. My father, who passed away in 2005 and would have been 63 the day after Veternas Day, was a Staff Sergeant in the U.S. Army. He served almost 8 years. My first cousin is a Master Sergeant in the U.S. Army and his wife is a Sergeant First Class in the U.S. Army. As you can see, military service runs in my family and I am very proud of that!

Regardless of what branch you, your family member, or friend serves in or has served in, I hope you take a few minutes out of your day to thank them for what they are doing or have done. It takes a brave person to defend our country.

I sometimes ask myself if I would be brave enough to wear the uniform and defend our great land.

If you were to ask yourself that same question, what would your answer be?

I am a wife and mother and originally from Charleston, SC. My mom is from Chile, South America and she taught me how to read, write and speak in Spanish :-) I am a graduate of Trident Technical College and Charleston Southern University. I enjoy reading about finance and medical news, getting snail mail from family and friends, spending time with family, clipping coupons, shopping, and swimming at the pool.
