South Carolina has certainly been in the political news lately, with GOP presidential candidates hobnobbing around Charleston. While this post is in no way an endorsement of any particular candidate, it is an invitation to take part in the political process. Just this past Saturday candidates gathered at the Sottile Theatre to share their views and talk with voters. Were you there?
Will you watch tonight’s debate in Myrtle Beach?
There are 5 candidates left. Who do you think will be the leader after this Saturday’s primary?
It is our responsibility as Americans to get to know the candidates well enough to cast an informed vote. So ask yourself a few questions:
- Can I name the 5 remaining Republic contenders?
- Do I know anything at all about who they are, their history?
- So I know where the candidates stand on tough issues?
If you answered “no” to these questions, put a stake in the ground and set a goal. Find out all you can about the candidates and decide which one you would vote for and why.
November is coming and there WILL be a vote. Whether you plan to vote for a Republican, a Democrat, an Independent, or otherwise, your best plan is to study up and be ready to cast a vote you can live with.
