The final week before Christmas. Are you running around at the last minute, or are you calm and well-organized? Either way, perhaps we’ll take a moment to review some holiday helpful hints compiled by the Contact Center Reps based on typical member interactions over the last few weeks:
Check your account frequently. Take a couple extra minutes to check and confirm all charges to your account are authorized charges. Lots of easy ways to do this: Phone Banking, Online Ban, Mobile Banking, and Text Banking.
Stumped for a last minute gift idea? South Carolina Federal Credit Union offers gift cards.
New to the area? Looking for a new bank? You can open an account in any of South Carolina Federal’s Branches, Online, or even by speaking with a helpful Contact Center Rep.
It’s pretty well understood, but worth repeating: Pending deposits are only available for spending when they actually post.
Protect you financial information at all times. Thieves are out looking for YOUR info this time of year. They also know you are busy and may not be as diligent with your financial info. Identity theft is real…and a real hassle.
If you are heading out of the country for the holidays, and have a debit or credit card with South Carolina Federal Credit Union, call the Contact Center or stop by a branch in advance to have the security block removed from the cards for the days you will be traveling.
Hope you have a joyous holiday!
