My Traveling Debit Card Hits the Road Again

My Traveling Debit Card Last Year in Connecticut

Last July, My Traveling Debit Card headed north to the Connecticut seashore for a respite from the 90+ degree temps here in the low country. This past weekend My Traveling Debit Card had another ‘get out of town’ adventure, this time to Houston, Texas.

My Traveling Debit Card and I decided to jet down to Houston to take advantage of the new Southwest Airlines direct and relatively inexpensive flights there. Decided it was a great idea to visit some relatives and just get out of town to beat this heat. To say Houston was HOT is the epitome of an understatement. It was BLAZING hot punctuated by a continual HOT breeze rolling across the scorching Texas plains. To compound things, the Houston area hasn’t had substantive rain in months. Driving outside the city, out towards farm country, you see 5 foot stalks of wilted corn…all brown…for dozens of miles.

My Traveling Debit Card Vists the Czech Festival Near Houston, Tx

The upside is we stumbled upon a great cultural festival…the Czech Festival in Rosenberg Texas. My Blog readers may recall previous posts where I shared my Czechoslovakian/Eastern European heritage. So it was a lot of fun dropping into this festival in quite literally the middle of “no where” Texas. There was food, dancing and lots of accordion music.

Of course, My Traveling Debit Card made the trip and performed like a champ. The Card has advised me, however, that if we go on another trip this summer it needs to be someplace cooler and due north…way north…like Maine or even Canada. I think I agree.

My debit card, credit card and I..(the whole gang) recently travelled to Virginia hoping that it would be a bit cooler up there than down in sweltering south carolina . We were all sadly disappointed in the heat, it was another part of the same oven up there.
However, I was not disappointed in how my cards worked during the trip. I had no problems and due to the sturdy plastic they are made from, we had no melting incidents!

I hope you jumped in at the festival Kevin and did the impressive polka we all know you have locked away, deep in your heart.
