During this Young & Free campaign I had SUCH a fabulous time! I learned not only about myself but about the people around me. For myself, I definitely learned about time management skills! WOW! I had to juggle not only Young and Free requirements but class work as well as other activities I am apart of. But I had SUCH an amazing time; it was an adrenaline rush for me! This experience definitely grew me for the better.
I cannot forget about the people who were SO supportive of me; from my family to my Facebook friends changing their profile pictures to my campaign picture. I even met a guy in Five Points (Columbia) who told me even though he did not have a computer, he would tell everyone at the library to vote for me. Also, to my church family who had my back from day one, I love you ALL SO MUCH, THANK YOU!
“The river's deep
The river's wide
The river's water is alive
So sink or swim I'm diving in”. –Steven Curtis Chapman (Dive)
This song (Dive) means so much to me. A radio station played it during this campaign, and I was so PUMPED every time I listened to it! People may laugh at me because I took a huge risk entering this contest with a 1 in 21 chance of winning. I am just so thankful that at the end of the day, I can say… I LIVED! I took a risk and I took a GIANT leap of faith, so whether I sink or swim I am so happy that I got the chance to say I tried and gave it my all.
Whatever the outcome is for Young & Free, I will never stop diving.
