Two things you may not be aware of, is that BALANCE has two new tools available that are pretty neat!
One is their online chat option. This option is great for members who want information and assistance from a counselor, but who prefer not to pick up the phone. It’s simple, convenient, and available via the BALANCE website.
The other tool is OnTrack. It’s a self-guided web-based tool developed to assist members through the sometimes challenging steps of creating a budget that is realistic, livable, and accurate. It guides you step-by-step through the process of determining living expenses relative to income and debt. Throughout the module, as you create your budget, you will find tools for tracking expenses , tips for taking control of personal finances, direction on reducing debt, and education specific to areas of challenge.
I actually tried out both tools a couple of weeks ago and I was quite impressed with both of them. The online chat option was easy and the counselor was very prompt and knowledgeable. I really liked the online budgeting tool. It asked me all the questions and I simply inputted the correct figures and it magically created my budget!
Have you tried these tools out yet? What’s your opinion?
