Seems like nothing is free anymore or if something is free, there is always a catch. Here's a link to something that is FREE: www.annualcreditreport.com
You can get a free credit report from each of the three credit reporting agencies once every 12 months. When I say free report, I mean the report itself-your credit history, not your score. Many people log on to this site and the first thing they look for when they view their report is their score. There is a fee to obtain your score.
Beware of other companies that claim to provide you with a FREE report. Many times there is a disclaimer (*asterisk) by the word FREE that states the report is free as long as you sign up for one of their credit packages or products.
Take advantage of this free service and check your credit history. How many accounts are in good standing or bad standing? Are items you already fixed still showing up as negative items? Are accounts you don't remember opening showing up on your report? Are accounts you thought you already closed still showing up as still open? Take a look and let me know! Chao for now, Leslita

This is definitely the only site that I trust to look at my credit reports. One way to stay on top of my credit is to look at one report each quarter. Since there are only three reporting agencies, there will be one quarter when there is not a report for me to look at, but that’s only three months out of the whole year! I can handle that!
I check my credit report every 4 months-1 from each agency every 4 months, so that I have a year round tab on my credit info. The Annual Credit Report site is a trusted site without any strings attached (unlike the other site with the catchy jingle!)
